Climeon AB in Sweden is seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager to lead cross-disciplinary product development and release projects.
You will balance technical understanding with strategic planning, manage scope and timelines, and coordinate with internal stakeholders. You will also contribute hands-on tasks such as documenting specifications and conducting product tests.
At Climeon, our mission is to \"power a sustainable future\" by converting waste heat into clean electricity. To achieve our mission, we are building the world's most cost-efficient, low-temperature ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) system. Our HeatPower 300 system represents an important step toward achieving this goal.

To achieve our mission, we are building the world's most cost-efficient, low-temperature ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) system. Our HeatPower 300 system represents an important step toward achieving this goal.
Our small but mighty R&D team is now looking for a Project Manager to join the quest.
Regardless of size, every R&D organization needs to cover the same core areas to succeed, from research and technology development to product development, validation, documentation, and technical support. In a smaller team like ours, this requires the ability to combine technical understanding with strategic thinking, ensuring we focus on the right priorities at the right time. The Project Manager is an essential part of our team's ability to achieve the right balance of progress and quality!
The R&D Project Manager role at Climeon covers three main areas:
Lead R&D projects in accordance with defined objectives, deliverables, budgets, and timelines, primarily focusing on product development and release projects.
Support the planning and preparation of new projects, including defining project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
Take responsibility for managing product documentation, from technical specifications to certification and compliance documentation, ensuring it is accurate, up to date, and properly maintained.
Responsible for cross-discipline documents such as FMEAs (product risk assessment) and product certification and compliance documentation.
Our R&D groups are self-managed, with each taking full responsibility for its respective technical discipline. However, as a small company working across a wide range of technical areas, the Project Manager plays an important role in coordinating day-to-day priorities and managing stakeholder relationships.
We believe success in this role comes from bringing leadership, structure, and a hands-on approach driven by curiosity. As an important link between different technical disciplines and internal stakeholders, you will help steer the team with direction, pace, and purpose.
While you will be part of leading and guiding the team, you will also contribute hands-on, supporting colleagues with practical tasks such as preparing technical documentation and carrying out product tests.
To succeed in this role, we believe you will bring:
M.Sc. in Mechanical engineering, or similar.
5 Year+ experience in project management and team lead, in relevant field.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to listen, share ideas, and adapt to different perspectives.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is an advantage.
Knowledge of thermodynamics and process design is highly relevant.
A genuine interest in technology development and the motivation to contribute directly to the success of our products and company.
Powering a sustainable future is a team sport, and we look forward to seeing how your unique experience and perspective complement our R&D team.
