Hitachi Energy in Ludvika seeks an R&D Engineer for Testing and Validation within Environmental Verification. You will plan, execute, and report on EMC, climatic, safety, and mechanical tests, ensuring compliance with IEC standards and internal requirements.
You’ll work with design engineers and laboratories, build test setups, analyze results, and drive verification activities through planning to release, contributing to reliable energy infrastructure.
We are seeking a new R&D Engineer for Testing and Validation within our Environmental Verification team at Hitachi Energy in Ludvika.
The Environmental Verification team is part of IVRS (Integration, Verification, Release and Support) within GI MACH. IVRS is responsible for integration, verification, release, and support activities, ensuring that MACH products and solutions meet defined requirements and are released with the right quality. The Environmental Verification function is responsible for environmental verification and qualification testing of MACH hardware products, including pre-compliance, pre-type, and type testing activities.
We play a key role in ensuring compliance with applicable international standards and regulatory requirements while supporting product qualification and release readiness. Our products range from embedded control and protection devices to advanced control systems and power electronics used in Power Transmission and Power Quality solutions such as HVDC, SVC, and STATCOM.
You will work in a highly technical and collaborative environment, contributing to the reliability and quality of critical energy infrastructure while working closely with development teams, project management, and laboratories.
