Job summary

LeoVegas Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Retention domain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust test strategies for the backend, implement automated and manual tests, and ensure high-quality releases.

The role requires strong problem solving and communication skills, plus experience with Java, JavaScript, MySQL, Postman and DataDog. Hybrid work policy offered.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The Retention team powers the organisation with communication capabilities, ranging from indirect and direct communication with players to a custom‑built toolbox that enriches the player journey with bonuses, loyalty programmes, and seamless cross‑channel experiences. As one of the most crucial parts of the player lifecycle, the Retention domain ensures our players return for new, exciting, and rewarding experiences. We’re driven by excellence and fueled by innovation.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Collaborating with development teams to analyse requirements and define comprehensive test strategies for the backend side of our platform.
• Proactively working to ensure high‑quality software releases by engaging in the planning and development phase.
• Designing and developing test plans with cases, including automated and manual, for integration and regression, as well as exploratory testing.
• Executing test cases, accurately documenting defects, and providing timely reports on testing progress and results.
• Investigating, debugging, and troubleshooting issues, providing technical advice and support to stakeholders.
• Maintaining and updating the test case repository.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the testing process.
• Staying up‑to‑date with new testing tools and technologies.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience creating automated tests and 5 years of testing experience in general.
• A structured approach to quality assurance, including well‑defined testing methodologies.
• Understanding of Java (backend testing).
• Familiarity with JavaScript, MySQL, Postman and DataDog.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage incidents by balancing tactical short‑term solutions while suggesting long‑term changes that enhance system resilience.
• Fluent English (B2/C1 level minimum).

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with Kotlin, Confluence and TestRail.
• Experience using AI in testing.
