Job summary

Alstom in Stockholm seeks a full-time Project Quality & Safety Manager to lead quality and safety activities across the project lifecycle from tender to contract closure.

You will coordinate quality assurance efforts with engineering, industrial, and supplier teams, drive audits, train teams, and ensure compliance with contract requirements. Strong English and Swedish skills are preferred for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Customer quality teams.
• Establish the Project Quality plan according to contract and Alstom processes.
• Contribute to sub-system criticality assessment for safety and quality.
• Be the go-to person for all quality needs in the project (Engineering EQ, Industrial IQ, Supplier SQ).
• Guide project teams on quality contributions and coordinate the project quality community.
• Provide quality awareness and organise quality trainings as needed.
• Support audits, reviews and approval of vendor quality systems and audits compliance.
• Support gate reviews and action plans with PM.
• Report quality and safety alerts and manage related issues.
• Ensure safety assessments are implemented and safety authorisations prepared.
• Control deliverables compliance through inspections and audits.
• Ensure REX is considered in Risks & Opportunities and monitor to prevent occurrences.
• Synchronize GO Production and FAI activities with SQ team and Sourcing.
• Own the Supplier Part List for each Sub-system.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your Quality & Safety expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You will be driving for customer satisfaction through the project’s Safety, Quality assurance by coordinating all quality and safety activities - starting at tender stage and throughout the project until contract closure.

We’ll look to you for:

• Be the interface with the Customer quality teams.
• Establish the Project Quality plan in accordance with the contract requirements and to Alstom processes. Ensure proper application of the plan during contract execution.
• Contribute to the criticality assessment of sub-systems to ensure right level of safety and quality assurance as well as inspection activities for all identified CTQ.
• Be the go to person in the Project Team for all parts of Quality needed for the Project (Engineering EQ, Industrial IQ and Supplier SQ).
• Guide project teams in understanding Quality contributions to the project.
• Animate and coordinate the project quality community (system and sub-systems) as applicable.
• Provide quality awareness on quality activities planned for the project and organize if needed quality trainings.
• Support on request project audits, reviews and approval of vendor quality systems and audits compliance.
• Support the project teams and the PM to prepare gate reviews & follow up related action plans.
• Report quality and safety alerts. Manage Quality and Safety issues.
• Ensure that safety assessment is correctly implemented (i.e.: safety review) and prepare safety authorization.
• Control project deliverables compliance through inspection and audits - authorize presentation / delivery to customer.
• Ensure that all the REX (Return of Experience) of all the functions have been considered in the Risks & Opportunities and closely monitor to prevent occurrence.
• Make sure to manage with SQ Team and/or Sourcing a good synchronization and follow-up of GO Production and FAI activities, relative to the SPL (Supplier Part List).
• Be the owner of the Supplier Part List, and ensure the list is properly created by each Sub-system (as applicable).

All About You

• Master’s degree in engineering with a management background.
• Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools.
• Experience in Quality audit.
• Team player and good time management skills.
• Fluent in English and (preferably) Swedish.
• Experience within the Railway industry is a plus.
