Length of employment: 12-24 months

Type of employment: Temporary or consultancy

Placement: Boden, on-site

What You’ll Do

Right now, we are looking for a Project Manager – Slag Handling for our Project Delivery team. In this role, you will take responsibility for delivering key work packages within the Slag Handling Area, ensuring safe and high-quality execution across engineering, procurement, and construction.

This is a strong opportunity for a Project Manager who has built a solid foundation and is ready to take on broader responsibility. We are looking for someone with drive, sound judgement, and the ambition to grow while delivering in a complex industrial project environment.

You will own delivery across scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating internal teams, EPCM partners, contractors, and suppliers. You will also help create momentum across interfaces, support the development of the wider team, and ensure issues are addressed early enough to keep delivery moving.

Specific to this role, the day‑to‑day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well.

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned work packages within the Slag Handling Area

  • Own scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall delivery performance

  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities across internal teams and external partners

  • Manage and challenge EPCM contractors and suppliers to ensure performance and accountability

  • Work closely with Project Controls to manage planning, scheduling, cost, and risk

  • Identify risks early, develop mitigation plans, and elevate issues that could impact delivery

  • Coordinate interfaces across adjacent work packages to maintain execution continuity

  • Support and develop team members while contributing to a collaborative and accountable project environment

What you'll bring

At Stegra, we value people who take initiative, build trust, and help create a workplace where everyone can do their best.

For this role, we are looking for someone who has developed strong project management fundamentals and is motivated to take the next step. You do not need decades of experience, but you should be comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and working across teams to turn plans into execution.

Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below.

  • Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams

  • Previous people leadership experience, or the ambition and readiness to take on greater leadership responsibility

  • A proactive and accountable mindset, with the drive to solve problems and keep delivery moving
