Job summary

Scania is seeking a Project Manager for Fire Alarm Systems to lead and deliver technical projects within Scania's facilities. You will ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery while complying with applicable regulations and quality standards.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and authorities to create safe and reliable production environments and support Scania's continuous development.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management within fire detection, fire alarm systems, or building safety systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering and contract management is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fire alarm system projects from concept through installation and handover.
  • Manage scope, budget, schedule, quality, and technical performance.
  • Coordinate with authorities, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to design and development of fire alarm and life safety solutions.
  • Perform risk assessments, cost estimations, tender documentation, and project planning.
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and Scania requirements.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and system acceptance.
  • Drive continuous improvements in project execution and technical solutions.
  • Maintain communication with customers, facility management, production and operations.

Role Summary

As a Project Manager – Fire Alarm Systems, you will lead and deliver technical projects related to fire detection and fire alarm systems within Scania's industrial facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to applicable regulations and quality standards. Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and authorities, you will contribute to creating safe and reliable production environments while supporting Scania's continuous development.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead fire alarm system projects from concept, design, and procurement through installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality and technical performance.
  • Coordinate with authorities, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in the design and development of fire alarm and life safety system solutions.
  • Perform risk assessments, technical evaluations, cost estimations, tender documentation, and project planning.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety regulations, industry standards, and Scania requirements.
  • Support testing, commissioning, functional verification, and system acceptance.
  • Drive continuous improvements in project execution, technical solutions, and working methods.
  • Maintain close communication with customers, facility management, production, and operational organizations.
Who You Are

We are searching for a proactive and structured project manager with experience in fire alarm systems and technical project delivery.

You have previous experience in project management, engineering, or system design within fire detection, fire alarm systems, or building safety systems. Knowledge of electrical engineering and contract management is considered an advantage.

You are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and have strong planning and organizational skills. You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and are confident building long-term relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

You are fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written, and enjoy solving technical challenges while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Experience as a Construction Work Environment Coordinator (BAS-P/BAS-U) or equivalent is considered an advantage.

A university degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience is preferred. Experience with project management methodologies and tools is highly valued.
