ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions in Malmö, Sweden, is seeking a Product Manager for Yale's Smart Residential portfolio. You will own connected home products, software, and services, collaborating across markets, R&D and cross-functional teams to drive strategy and commercial success.

The role covers lifecycle management from opportunity to launch, with regular travel, shaping requirements, building business cases, and ensuring quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven product management experience in IoT or residential access.
• Strong commercial, analytical, and customer-focused skills; matrix organisation experience; fluent in English.

As a Product Manager within Yale's Smart Residential team, you will take ownership of a portfolio of connected smart home products, software, and services that make everyday life safer, smarter, and more integrated. Working closely with customers, market teams, R&D, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will drive product strategy, innovation, and commercial success across the entire product lifecycle while facilitating the continued growth of one of the world's leading smart residential access businesses.

What you would do as our Product Manager - Residential Access EMEIA

You will play a key role in shaping and managing Yale's Residential Access portfolio across EMEIA. Working closely with Market Regions, customers, R&D, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams, you will translate customer and market needs into successful products and services. You will manage products throughout their lifecycle, from opportunity identification and development through launch, continuous improvement, and phase-out, ensuring they deliver customer value, achieve commercial objectives, and meet compliance requirements. As this is an international role, regular travel is required.

You would also:

• Lead the development, launch, and continuous improvement of residential access products, software, and services across the full product lifecycle.
• Engage with customers, Market Regions, Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify market opportunities, define requirements, and prioritize product initiatives.
• Build business cases, define value propositions, and manage product portfolios to support growth, profitability, and strategic objectives.
• Drive cross-functional product development activities, ensuring products meet quality, certification, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Contribute to successful product launches through close partnership with Product Marketing, including packaging, customer documentation, training, and go-to-market activities.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone with:

• A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven product management experience, ideally within connected products, IoT, smart home solutions, or residential access technologies.
• Experience managing products throughout their lifecycle, including defining requirements, developing business cases, driving product development, successful launches, and continuous improvements.
• Strong commercial, analytical, and customer-focused skills, with the ability to identify growth opportunities, optimize product portfolios, and translate market needs into product strategies. You have experience working within a matrix organization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in international cross-functional teams. You are structured, analytical, and customer-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced, international environment and are fluent in English.
• Experience with hardware, electronics, firmware, software, mobile applications, cloud-connected ecosystems, compliance, certification requirements, and regulated product launches is an advantage.
