Job summary

The European Spallation Source (ESS) is looking for a Process Engineer for its Plant & Process Engineering Function. This role involves preliminary design work on various systems, including cooling and fluid distribution, as well as preparing specifications and presentations for design reviews. Ideal candidates should have a background in engineering, proficiency with the AVEVA tool suite, and excellent English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with process quality and licensing requirements.
• Familiarity with EN harmonised codes and the Pressurized Equipment Directive.

Responsibilities

• Perform system/project preliminary design based on specifications.
• Prepare specifications and participate in design reviews.
• Support manufacturing phases and installation testing.

Skills

Proficiency in the AVEVA tool suite

Knowledge of fluid distribution system installation

Proficiency in written and spoken English

Education

Higher vocational education or university degree in engineering
