Job summary

Sinch Telco is seeking a Principal Software Engineer focused on AI-driven development to accelerate the adoption of AI-powered practices across Sinch Telco. You will be hands-on, leveraging AI agents to design, build and deliver software, shaping how AI is applied in real engineering environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with proven ability to design, evaluate, and evolve software architectures.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and system integration; telecom exp a plus.
• Hands-on experience applying AI-assisted development tools like Copilot, Cursor, Claude.
• Experience with AI-driven and agent-based development workflows.
• Ability to define clear, decomposable requirements for engineers and AI agents; strong product awareness.
• Experience with multi-agent frameworks such as CrewAI, AutoGen, LangGraph is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration across teams.

Sinch Telco is a standalone business within Sinch. Our products propel communications services for mobile operators and enterprises around the globe. We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer with focus on AI-driven Development, to accelerate adoption of AI-powered development practices across Sinch Telco.

In this role, you'll be a hands-on practitioner, leveraging AI agents to design, build and deliver software while shaping how AI is applied in real engineering environments. Together we will move toward a paradigm where software developers manage teams of specialized virtual AI agents for requirements analysis, implementation, testing, documentation, and deployment. We intend to unlock new capabilities that enable teams to build and ship faster with higher quality, security, and maintainability.

As our Principal Software Engineer, you will:

• Act as a highly productive, hands-on software engineer using AI agent orchestration to deliver features and products across multiple areas

REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with proven ability to design, evaluate, and evolve software architectures.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and system integration. Experience with telecom systems, BSS/OSS, messaging infrastructure, or CPaaS is a plus.
• Hands-on experience applying AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, in real-world software delivery, not just experimentation.
• Experience working with AI-driven and agent-based development workflows, including autonomous coding agents and multistep task orchestration.
• Ability to define clear, structured, and decomposable requirements for both engineers and AI agents, with strong product awareness and understanding of the \"why\" behind solutions.
• Practical experience with Model Context Protocol, tool-use patterns, or equivalent integration standards for reliable multi-agent/tool orchestration. Experience with multi-agent frameworks such as CrewAI, AutoGen, LangGraph is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts, document approaches, and collaborate effectively across teams.
