Umeå University invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to join Laura Bacete's group and contribute to the 4DWalls project, investigating how cell-wall mechanics, chemistry and gene expression interact during root development.
The project uses Brillouin microscopy, spectroscopy and spatial transcriptomics to create a time-resolved atlas of Arabidopsis root cell walls, offering opportunities to develop expertise in transcriptomics, data integration and advanced imaging.
Are you interested in understanding how cell-wall mechanics, chemistry and gene expression interact during plant growth?
Join Laura Bacete‘s research group at Umeå University and contribute to the 4DWalls project, investigating how cell-wall mechanics, wall chemistry and gene expression interact during root development.
The project combines Brillouin microscopy, spectroscopy and spatial transcriptomics to build a time-resolved atlas of Arabidopsis root cell walls, offering opportunities to develop expertise in transcriptomics, data integration and advanced imaging approaches.
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be based at Umeå Plant Science Centre (UPSC) – a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment with access to state-of-the-art infrastructure and expertise across plant science.
