Job summary

Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to develop a project in English-medium instruction (EMI). The position is fully funded with an open thematic orientation and a strong emphasis on methodological rigor in higher education research.

You will join the Division for Language and Communication within the Department of Communication and Learning in Science, collaborating across disciplines and contributing to an international research

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (or equivalent) in a field relevant to EMI research.
• Very strong English written and verbal communication.
• Strong research track record in EMI or related areas.
• Ability to publish internationally and develop an independent research profile.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out the proposed EMI research project with independence.
• Collaborate with the research environment and contribute to its intellectual life.
• Plan, conduct and manage the research project.
• Publish high-quality articles in leading peer‑reviewed journals.
• Present at international conferences and other academic forums.
• Contribute communication and dissemination activities beyond academia.
• Possibly contribute to teaching/supervision up to 20% of the position.
