Job description

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Business Administration with specialization in Aesthetics and Business/Organizational Creativity

We invite recent PhD graduates to a three-year postdoctoral stipend‑funded fellowship in Business Administration focused on Aesthetics and Business/Organizational Creativity, based in Lund, Sweden.

Responsibilities

The postdoctoral fellow will conduct high‑quality research on organizational creativity, visionary entrepreneurship, and innovative organization. Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging in interdisciplinary research that bridges business administration and humanities (aesthetics, art, literature, philosophy).
  • Producing publications in internationally leading journals.
  • Applying for research funding and communicating findings beyond academia.
  • Contributing to the research agenda and outreach activities of the Aesthetics and Business Creativity (ABC) Centre.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A doctoral degree (or equivalent) in business administration or a related field, completed no more than five years prior to the application deadline.
  • Strong subject knowledge in organization studies, creativity, entrepreneurship, and/or related areas.
  • High level of scientific expertise and professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Meritorious qualifications:

  • International study or work experience.
  • Previous relevant research involvement.
  • Awards or recognitions demonstrating scientific excellence.
  • Background in humanities.
  • Experience engaging with society or industry outside academia.
Assessment Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to conduct rigorous research, the scientific merit and feasibility of their research plan, and their potential to strengthen the ABC Centre and the Department of Business Administration.

Conditions for the Stipend

The stipend is tax‑free and intended solely for research and career development. Teaching is permitted up to 20% of full time provided it does not compromise research quality or time. Teaching and supervision duties, if granted, will be compensated via a fixed‑term appointment.

Terms of the Stipend

The stipend covers a full‑time salary for three years: living expenses SEK 550,000 per year, insurance/pension SEK 110,000 per year, and travel/other expenses SEK 50,000 per year. If research progress is satisfactory, the stipend may be extended for an additional three years upon separate application.
