SLU Aqua invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in aquatic ecosystem resilience and climate adaptation. The project uses quantitative evidence-based syntheses to identify management strategies that strengthen resilience and sustainable use of aquatic resources.

You will apply systematic reviews and meta-analyses, collaborate with practitioners and policy makers, and publish in leading journals while developing an independent research profile.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biology (ecology/evolution) or Environmental science or similar discipline.
• Systematic reviews, meta-analyses or other evidence-synthesising methods should have formed a central part of your thesis or academic career.
• Experience relevant for environmental management, decision support or governance of aquatic resources, especially in coastal and marine areas, is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Apply systematic reviews, meta-analyses and other evidence synthesis methods to address project questions.
• Collaborate with practitioners to ensure scientifically robust and practically relevant guidance for climate adaptation.
• Publish scientific results in leading international journals and present at conferences.
• Develop an independent research profile and contribute to evidence-based environmental policy and management.
