Overview

Postdoctoral researcher in Cybersecurity and AI, focusing on the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence with a human‑centered approach. The position is held jointly within the Cybersecurity and Privacy Research Group and the Human‑Centered Technology Group, and involves research in the project SAVIOR (AI‑Supported Alert Validation for Industrial SOC Response).

Responsibilities

You will conduct research for 80% of your time in relevant areas such as AI, cybersecurity, data‑driven security, and AI‑supported systems; the remaining 20% will be spent on teaching and administrative duties related to your expertise.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Informatics, Cybersecurity, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science or a closely related field, awarded no more than three years before the application deadline.
• Documented knowledge of AI and machine learning.
• Demonstrated research experience in cybersecurity, AI‑supported systems, data‑driven security or closely related fields.
• Experience in implementing, evaluating or applying AI/ML‑based methods such as generative AI, explainable AI, anomaly detection or decision‑support systems.
• Strong publication record relative to career stage.
• Ability to conduct independent research while collaborating within interdisciplinary teams.

Meritorious

• Experience with SOCs, SOC workflows, alert validation, incident response or post‑incident analysis.
• Experience in human‑computer interaction, human‑centered AI, explainable AI or user‑centered design.
• Experience designing, conducting and analysing empirical studies (user studies, interviews, experiments, field studies).
• Experience collaborating with industry or external stakeholders.
• Good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish.

Employment Details

Temporary 100% employment for 2 years, starting 2026‑10‑01 or by agreement. Collective agreements and individual wages apply. Application deadline: 2026‑08‑31.
