Vid Jönköping University söker vi en postdoktor för att forska inom cybersäkerhet och AI med fokus på mänskliga faktorer. Tjänsten är delad mellan två forskargrupper och involverar projektet SAVIOR för att förbättra SOC-analyser.

Vi söker en kandidat med doktorsexamen och stark publiceringsbakgrund samt erfarenhet inom AI och cybersäkerhet. Arbetet innebär 80% forskning och 20% undervisning.

We invite applications for a postdoctoral researcher to join our research team in exploring the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) with a human‑centered focus. The position is shared between the Cybersecurity and Privacy Research Group (CPR) and the Human‑Centered Technology Group (HCT).

The position focuses on the project SAVIOR (AI‑Supported Alert Validation for Industrial SOC Response), which aims to reduce the need for manual communication during validation and post‑incident analysis within an end‑to‑end SOC ecosystem.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong publication record to conduct daring research in this interdisciplinary and fast‑moving field.

Job description

You will conduct research during 80% of your time in relevant areas, while the remaining 20% will be spent on teaching or other administrative duties in courses related to your expertise.

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate who:

• Has been awarded a doctoral degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Cybersecurity, AI, Machine Learning (ML), Data Science, or a closely related subject, no more than three years before the application deadline.
• Has documented knowledge of AI and ML.
• Has demonstrated research experience in areas such as cybersecurity, AI‑supported systems, data‑driven security, or closely related fields.
• Has experience in implementing, evaluating, or applying AI/ML‑based methods, such as generative AI, retrieval‑augmented generation, explainable AI, anomaly detection, or decision‑support systems.
• Has a strong publication record relative to career stage.
• Has the ability to conduct independent research while also collaborating in interdisciplinary research environments.

It is meritorious if you:

• Have experience working with SOCs, SOC workflows, SOC data, alert validation, incident response, or post‑incident analysis.
• Have experience in human‑computer interaction, human‑centered AI, explainable AI, or user‑centered design.
• Have experience designing, conducting, and analysing empirical studies, such as user studies, interviews, experiments, or field studies.
• Have experience collaborating with industry or other external stakeholders.
• Have good ability to communicate in both spoken and written Swedish.
