Job summary

Silex Microsystems AB, a world‑leading MEMS foundry headquartered in Stockholm, seeks a Process Engineer to drive plasma deposition projects. You will develop and refine thin film deposition processes, and create robust workflows with operators and service technicians to ensure reliable production.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to meet customer specs and support new product introductions, while improving equipment uptime and process documentation.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc with some years of relevant industrial experience in nanotechnology, microfabrication, or material science.
• Strong understanding of plasma physics or semiconductor processing principles.
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive projects to completion.
• Excellent documentation and quality management skills.
• Fluent English; Swedish language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve thin film deposition processes.
• Establish and maintain routines and documentation for production.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators and technicians to ensure process stability and uptime.
• Lead process qualification of new equipment or materials and release to production.
• Participate in startup of new products and design review of process flows.
• Grow responsibility for area equipment and instrument uptime.
