Job summary

Responsibilities

• Setup of wafer layouts in CAD tool for customers entering production.
• Optimize modifications to customer designs for manufacturability.
• Maintain and define design guidelines and documentation.
• Participate in customer dialogues on design-related topics.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to meet product specifications.

About the role

Join Silex Microsystems as a MEMS Design Engineer and play a key role in enabling the manufacturing of cutting‑edge MEMS products for leading global customers. In this position, you will work at the intersection of design and production, ensuring that innovative concepts are translated into manufacturable solutions. The role offers a mix of technical challenges, cross‑functional collaboration, and opportunities to influence both new and existing product designs.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for setup of wafer layouts in CAD tool for both new and existing customers entering production
• Optimize and propose modifications to customer designs based on design rules to ensure manufacturability
• Maintain and define design guidelines and related documentation
• Participate in customer dialogues regarding design‑related topics
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to ensure product specifications are met

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Professional experience in designing MEMS or closely related disciplines such as IC design or PCB design
• Professional experience in MEMS production is considered a strong merit
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Swedish is considered a plus
• A structured way of working and a strong willingness to learn and develop within Silex
