Job summary

Albany International seeks a Plant Controller to cover the site in Halmstad, Sweden and Bury, UK. You will lead cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting, acting as a business partner to Operations.

The role requires expertise in cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis and SOX controls, with ERP experience (prefer SAP) and advanced Excel skills. You will drive inventory accuracy, working capital improvements, and support audits and plant reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and international industrial experience.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, reporting and forecasting.
• Experience with SOX controls and audits; ERP experience (prefer SAP) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process for the plant.
• Own inventory controls, stock counts and cycle counts.
• Partner with operations to drive cost reduction and efficiency.
• Own forecasting and planning for the plant.
• Oversee standard costing, variances and inventory adjustments.
• Provide P&L reporting and profitability analysis.
• Prepare monthly plant reviews and KPI reporting.
• Support SOX controls and internal/external audits.
