Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB in Landskrona, Sweden, is seeking a Project Engineer to strengthen the Plant Design team. You will design external piping systems, create 3D models, and ensure drawings meet quality and compliance standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage BOMs in SAP, and contribute to project deliveries with a proactive, learning-focused mindset. Proficiency in Swedish and English is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• A few years of experience in piping design and mechanical design engineering.
• Experience in project-based environments.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and design tools.
• Experience in industries such as industrial cooling, water and wastewater treatment, biogas, marine, oil and gas, or nuclear power is an asset.
• Curiosity, proactivity and ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design work for external piping systems within project deliveries.
• Create 3D models of piping systems and pipe supports based on PFDs, specs and BOMs.
• Review and verify engineering drawings for quality and compliance.
• Manage material registration and BOM creation in the ERP system (SAP).
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams (Procurement, Production).
• Work with Solid Edge and SAP in engineering and business systems.
