Job summary

Antaros Medical, in collaboration with Uppsala University, offers a 4-year full-time ESR PhD position within the MSCA DN framework focused on automated image analysis for metabolic phenotyping in obesity and diabetes. The candidate will develop tools for whole-body imaging analyses and apply them to clinical trial data.

The role includes secondments to partner sites, English-language requirements, and a strong emphasis on software development in medical imaging.

Qualifications

  • Completed studies in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or similar (MSc or equivalent).
  • Very good command of English.
  • Good communication skills for multidisciplinary work.
  • Willingness to travel and arrange travel as needed.
  • Python for medical image analysis is beneficial; C/C++ for handling large images is beneficial.
  • Prior experience with medical imaging, CT, PET, MRI, image analysis and software development is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools for accurate analysis of whole-body metabolic imaging.
  • Create spatial-correlation tools for visual and quantitative comparisons.
  • Apply methods to clinical trial data to characterize groups and study end-organ involvement.
