Job summary

Thule Sweden AB in Sweden is seeking a Product Pattern Maker to lead the development of soft goods sewing patterns for new and existing products. You will create cutting patterns with an eye for cost, performance and compliance, and document sewing instructions, samples, and item specs as part of the technical specification package.

Qualifications

• Education in pattern design with sewing knowledge and familiarity with outdoor products.
• Proficiency with CAD pattern software and PLM systems.
• Fluent English with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop sewing patterns for soft goods in new development and maintenance projects.
• Create cutting patterns with cost, performance, function and compliance in mind.
• Document sewing instructions, patterns, samples and item specs.
• Define costing models and own the soft goods portion of Design FMEA.
• Lead design reviews and fitting meetings with internal teams and suppliers.
• Order, evaluate prototypes, and provide feedback to Sewing Technicians; manage handover to external suppliers.
• Assist in test plans, test requirements and specify trims, buckles, zippers and labels.
