Job summary

Academic Search International is seeking a creative Graphic Designer for an interim 4–6 month position in Älmhult. You will concept, design, and deliver graphics across digital, print, and motion media, collaborating with teams to ensure impactful and accurate visual communications.

Qualifications

We are looking for a creative and talented Graphic Designer to craft visually striking designs that leave a lasting impact across digital, print, and motion media. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality, engaging communication that strengthens brand identity and connects with audiences.

In this role you will be responsible for taking concepts from idea to execution, collaborating with colleagues to ensure every design is impactful, accurate, and aligned with project goals.

This is an interim position for 4-6 months with the possibility of extension.

Position: Älmhult (3 days in the office, 2 days hybrid/w)

• Conceptualize and create new visual designs including sketches, drafts, and mock-ups.
• Source and integrate suitable visual elements.
• Revise and fine-tune designs to meet project goals.
• Present designs to clients and stakeholders.
• Get designs ready for digital or printed distribution ensuring accuracy and quality of the designs and visual solution presented.
• Work collaboratively with other team members or departments to define the communication assignments and secure that the solution meets the needs of the project.
• Be the go-to expert for graphic design questions and provide technical guidance.
• Keep up-to date with visual trends, possibilities, and limitations in the various media we work with. Securing best practices, no matter the platform or channel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as layout designer or graphic designer creating visual concepts in digital, print and motion media.
• Educational background in Graphic Design, Art, or Visual Communication with a deep understanding of design principles, such as layout, typography, color theory, and composition.
• Proficiency in graphic design software, and collaborative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Figma, Sketch and Miro.
• Strong portfolio that showcases a collection of the best and most recent work.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate, present, influence and drive decisions.
• Ambition to up-skill, develop, change, learn and share knowledge with others.
• Enjoy working independently and interdependently, taking initiative, improving efficiency when possible, and assuming accountability.
• Ability to build strong working relationships while co-creating and collaborating with colleagues across the organization.
• Prior experience in a large retail company is a plus
