Job summary

SkillHuset Sweden AB is seeking an experienced consultant specializing in testing and test automation of mobile applications to join our test team. You will ensure high quality in Android- and iOS-based apps and collaborate with test leads, engineers, developers and product owners in an international setting.

You will contribute to requirement reviews, sprint planning, and quality-related activities, with strong emphasis on automation and CI/CD.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience testing mobile applications.
Documented experience with test automation for Android and/or iOS.
Solid understanding of software testing across the full development lifecycle.
Experience in agile development teams.
Experience in analyzing, troubleshooting, and managing quality issues.
Experience with CI/CD-based test automation.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced consultant specializing in the testing and test automation of mobile applications to join our test team, which focuses on the development of handheld products and their associated applications. You will play a key role in the quality assurance of our Android- and iOS-based applications. The position involves close collaboration with test leads, test engineers, developers, and product owners to ensure high quality throughout the entire development process. The work takes place in an international environment, involving interaction with several different development teams.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for mobile applications (Android and iOS)
Perform functional, regression, and system testing
Troubleshoot and analyze test results, and report any issues or discrepancies
Create and maintain test cases and test documentation
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methods and processes
Work on test automation within CI/CD pipelines, in collaboration with our DevOps team
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure testability and quality
Participate in requirements reviews, sprint planning, and quality-related activities.

Requirements

Mandatory

At least 3 years of experience in testing mobile applications
Documented experience with test automation for Android and/or iOS
A solid understanding of software testing throughout the entire development lifecycle
Experience working in agile development teams
Experience in analyzing, troubleshooting, and managing quality-related issues
Experience working with CI/CD-based test automation
Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Nice-to-have

Experience with Appium or similar tools for mobile application test automation
Programming skills in Python Experience with Kotlin, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages is also an advantage
Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, or other CI/CD platforms
Experience testing connected products, IoT, or embedded systems
Experience testing with physical hardware
Experience with communication via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or other wireless communication protocols.
