Job summary

Scandinavian Real Heart in Västerås is seeking a Mechanical Test Development Engineer to advance test methods and equipment for our Total Artificial Heart. You will design, implement and validate test setups, perform tests in both R&D and production, and ensure traceability and high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical or related engineering field.
• At least five years of industry experience, preferably within medical devices or another regulated industry.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing test methods and test equipment.
• Strong technical documentation skills, with attention to detail and traceability.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and mechanical design.
• Strong spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test equipment and methods for medical devices, validate test methods, and perform testing within R&D and production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders to ensure tests are planned, traceable and fit for purpose.
• Take ownership of test development and maintain high-quality documentation and traceability.
