Job summary

Suir Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for a data centre project in Stockholm, Sweden. You will lead end-to-end site delivery, coordinate design and interfaces with third parties, and maintain client relations through project handover.

The role requires a mechanical qualification and proven track record in managing large-scale projects. You will drive staffing plans with senior leaders, ensure quality audits, and promote continuous improvement across the project team.

Qualifications

• Qualified in mechanical trade or engineering with project delivery experience.
• Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder construction projects end-to-end.
• Experience in staffing, resource planning and supplier coordination.
• Awareness of BIM technologies and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects from initiation to handover.
• Coordinate design works and interfaces with third parties.
• Maintain strong client relations from start to finish.
• Chair handovers from estimating to construction teams.
• Staff recruitment planning with Project/Operations Directors.
• Ensure quality audits and safety training on site.
• Lead weekly progress meetings with sub-contractors.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager to join Suir Engineering Ltd. The position will be based on a Data Centre Project in Stockholm, Sweden.

Over the past 40 years we have delivered projects for Irish and multinational clients across the globe. We are currently expanding significantly, and are delivering large scale projects across Ireland, the U.K, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

What you will be doing?

• Oversee Construction Projects from beginning to end.
• Co-ordination of all design works & Interfaces with all third party stakeholders
• Maintaining excellent working relationships with Client form project start to handover; acting as ambassador with Clients and all other stakeholders.
• Arrange and chair handover of project from estimating department to construction team.
• Liaise with Project Director and Operations Director in staffing of project and agree on a recruitment plan for staff and operatives particular to your staff.
• Ensure audits are carried out by the person responsible on site for Quality Control in accordance with the design plan (if applicable).
• Hold weekly progress meetings with sub-contractors and ensure that safety and training are discussed.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with the client from project start up to project completion,

Is this the job for me?

• Mechanical Trade qualification through Apprenticeship or Engineering qualification.
• Proven experience in managing a project from scoping out project(s)' requirements and resources in line with strategic company objectives to the completion and delivery of the project.
• Proven experience in managing, coordinating, and developing staff.
• Experience in supporting a continuous improvement culture amongst the project team.
• Experience in Data Centre projects desirable
• Awareness of BIM technologies where relevant.
• Awareness of Engineering processes and best practice.
