Job summary

Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centres / Mission Critical

• Up to €110,000 per annum + Package

Preston Recruitment is representing a leading European data centre contractor seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of major mechanical packages on hyperscale and mission-critical construction projects in Sweden.

Your Remit

You'll take responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical installations across large-scale data centre projects, overseeing subcontractors, project programmes, budgets and technical coordination from construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of mechanical packages across major hyperscale data centre construction projects.
• Oversee the installation of HVAC systems, chillers, cooling infrastructure, pipework, pumps and associated mechanical plant.
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, specialist vendors and site teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
• Manage project budgets, procurement, cost forecasting and commercial performance.
• Work closely with Electrical, CSA and Commissioning teams to ensure effective coordination across all project disciplines.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, installation methodologies and project documentation.
• Identify project risks, resolve technical challenges and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
• Oversee mechanical testing, commissioning activities, snagging and final project handover.

Who We Want To Speak With

Experienced Mechanical Project Managers, Senior Mechanical Project Managers and Mechanical Contracts Managers with a proven track record delivering large-scale data centre, mission-critical or technically complex M&E construction projects.

You’ll bring strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services, experience managing major mechanical packages and subcontractors, and the ability to deliver projects within demanding construction programmes.

Previous experience working on hyperscale data centre developments or delivering major construction projects across Europe would be highly advantageous.
