Zusammenfassung

Henderson Brown Recruitment partners with a well-established research facility to appoint a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. You will maintain essential mechanical infrastructure across multiple buildings, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant, and fully operational.

Responsibilities include routine inspections, servicing, repairs on boilers and HVAC systems, planned maintenance, and prompt breakdown response.

Qualifikationen

• Recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Proven hands-on experience maintaining mechanical plant and building services.
• Experience as mechanical fitter, plant maintenance technician or HVAC engineer.
• Competent in fault diagnosis, servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown response.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Safety-conscious and able to work independently.

Aufgaben

• Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on mechanical plant, including boilers, HVAC systems, and associated equipment.
• Complete planned maintenance schedules and respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs.
• Monitor the performance and safety of building services, ensuring all work meets relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Assist colleagues across maintenance disciplines to deliver a responsive, high-quality engineering service throughout the site.
• Identify potential equipment issues, recommend improvements, and support the efficient operation of mechanical infrastructure.
• Participate in an on-call rota, providing technical assistance and resolving urgent maintenance issues when required.
