Job summary

EDAG Group in Gothenburg seeks an experienced Mechanical Integration Leader to drive vehicle-level integration across systems, coordinating technical stakeholders and ensuring robust engineering solutions throughout development.

You will balance performance, cost, weight and manufacturability while guiding teams through engineering gateways and milestones, in a collaborative, international setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Product Development or related field.
• Extensive experience in automotive product development and vehicle integration.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical packaging and interface management.
• Hands-on CATIA and Teamcenter experience.
• Experience from Volvo Cars product development environment preferred.
• Ability to coordinate stakeholders and drive alignment in complex organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical integration and packaging activities across vehicle systems.
• Investigate interface challenges and develop feasible integration concepts.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among engineering teams, suppliers, design and program management.
• Organise technical workshops, integration reviews and decision forums.
• Manage interfaces and ensure programme maturity and technical compatibility.
• Provide guidance to support engineering decisions, risk mitigation and problem solving.
• Balance performance, cost, weight, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Drive closure of integration issues before gateways and release milestones.
• Monitor maturity, CAD releases, engineering deliverables and integration readiness.
• Communicate project status, risks and recovery plans to stakeholders.
• Support development and maintenance of vehicle mechanical architecture and integration strategies.
