Job summary

Husqvarna's Handheld R&D team in Huskvarna is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to transform needs and innovation into robust, manufacturable components and products. You will drive design and development across the product lifecycle, collaborating with lab, design, calculation, production, R&D and external suppliers.

We look for five+ years in mechanical design and a degree in mechanical engineering, with fluency in English and Swedish.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of mechanical design experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
• Team-oriented, collaborative, proactive and curious problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Drive design, development, and improvements of mechanical components with emphasis on injection-molded plastics and die-cast parts.
• Generate concepts and evaluate concepts.
• Conduct root cause analysis to understand issues and enable effective problem-solving across design, production, validation, etc.
• Ensure robust designs through simulation and geometric tolerancing.
