Job summary

ALTEN is growing and looking for an engaged Mechanical design engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work with the entire lifecycle of mechanical systems, from design to implementation, and play a key role in driving our projects forward.

You will develop and maintain 3D CAD models, work within PLM/PDM environments, collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers, and contribute to engineering best practices across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical design within industrial or technology-driven environments.
• Proficiency in an advanced CAD system (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, or NX CAD).
• Strong communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
• Design mechanical components and subsystems for complex industrial products.
• Work within PLM/PDM environments to manage product structures and changes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure design for manufacturability.
• Support verification, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in technical reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
