This is a highly collaborative role where you will have the opportunity to drive improvements, simplify processes, and help build a strong foundation for data‑driven decision‑making across the business.

About The Role

As Manager Master Data Management (MDM) Northern Europe, you will be the primary point of contact for all Master Data Management and Data Governance‑related topics across the business. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate requirements into operational activities, and ensure consistent execution across key master data domains.

The role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on collaboration and continuous improvement, helping to ensure that master data supports efficient business operations and high data quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main contact for Master Data Management and Data Governance topics across Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, Operations, IT, Data Governance, and Data Management.
  • Gather, clarify, and challenge business requirements related to master data and translate them into clear operational activities for the MDM Operations team.
  • Translate governance principles, data standards, and quality requirements into practical processes, instructions, and ways of working.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on data quality, process efficiency, standardization, and operational performance.
  • Coordinate with the MDM Operations (Global Business Services) team to ensure day‑to‑day master data activities are aligned with business priorities and agreed data standards.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the operational process and work with the relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Support the implementation of Mediq‑wide data standards, governance principles and data quality rules.
  • Work with Data Owners, Data Stewards and business stakeholders to clarify ownership, approval flows and decision rights.
  • Drive improvements in data accuracy, completeness, consistency and reliability across key master data domains.
  • Partner with IT, ERP teams and system owners to ensure MDM requirements are included in system changes, implementations and upgrades.
  • Provide MDM input into solution design, workflows, validations, approvals, testing and deployment.
What You Bring
  • You are a collaborative and proactive professional who enjoys working across functions, building relationships, and driving improvements. You combine strong business understanding with hands‑on Master Data Management expertise and have the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions that create value.
  • Relevant experience within Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, or enterprise data management programs.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP‑driven data management, particularly within SAP environments. Experience with IFS is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and drive alignment across functions and teams.
  • Experience leading improvement initiatives and creating measurable business value through process optimization, standardization, and improved data quality.
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification, preferably Yellow Belt, Green Belt or higher, is preferred.
  • Prince2, Agile/Scrum or similar project/change delivery certification is a plus.
  • DAMA‑DMBOK / CDMP or similar data management certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or large‑scale transformation programs is considered an advantage. Fluency in English is required.
