Volvo Penta is seeking a Master’s student to work on grounding and isolation for safe, EMC-compliant marine charging. You will review marine standards, develop an isolation module, and build a lab-scale prototype to validate performance and corrosion resilience.

You will collaborate with Mechanical Design and Energy Distribution teams, applying MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, and PCB design. Start Jan 2027; 2–3 days weekly at Gothenburg office.

Qualificações

• Master's student in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or closely related field.
• Familiarity with grounding/earthing, EMC and insulation strategies.
• Hands-on lab testing and prototyping experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Review marine standards and regulations (DNV/IEC) for protective earth and charging.
• Develop a modular isolation solution between PE and GND for future integration.
• Design, build and test a lab-scale prototype to validate insulation and corrosion mitigation.
