Job summary

Volvo Penta Vara Operations is seeking a Manager Manufacturing Engineering to lead and develop our Manufacturing Engineering team of 15 colleagues. You will drive efficient, stable and flexible manufacturing processes across machining, assembly, painting, testing and logistics to support current production and future transformation.

You will work strategically and operationally, lead improvement initiatives, build routines, strengthen ways of working, and partner with other functions.

Qualifications

• A technical university degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering or a related area within industry.
• Proven leadership experience and a strong interest in people development.
• An analytical, structured and self-driven way of working.
• The ability to drive change and improvement in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team within Vara Operations.
• Drive efficient, stable and flexible manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, painting, testing, logistics).
• Lead improvement initiatives and develop routines to improve quality, efficiency and flexibility.
• Support the Director Engineering and strengthen collaboration with Volvo Penta and Volvo Group.
