Job summary

PA Consulting in Sweden seeks a Managing Consultant (Senior Manager/Director equivalent) for Public Services in Stockholm. You will lead strategic transformations for public sector clients, shaping operating models, governance and digital initiatives.

Youll collaborate with senior stakeholders, drive revenue opportunities, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to growth of our Public Services practice in Sweden while balancing delivery and client leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in public sector transformation and a proven consulting background.
• Experience delivering strategy, operating model or transformation projects.
• Solid understanding of public sector structures, governance, and operating environments.
• Experience with digital transformation, data or business process improvement is advantageous.

Responsibilities

As aManaging Consultant (Senior Manager/Director equivalent) in our Public Services team, you will operate at the heart of strategic transformation for our public sector clients.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to design and deliver solutions that improve organisational effectiveness, support policy objectives and create better outcomes for citizens. Our work spans strategy, operating model design and large-scale transformation, often enabled by digital and data-driven capabilities.

We take a holistic approach to transformation — considering organisation, governance, technology, data, processes, skills and culture — ensuring our clients can execute effectively and sustainably.

As part of agrowing and entrepreneurial team in Sweden, you will play a highly visible role — acting as a senior voice on engagements, shaping client thinking and contributing to the continued growth of our Public Services business.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong, trusted relationships with clients in complex stakeholder and political environments
• Support the growth of our Public Services business in Sweden
• Coach and support junior consultants, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team culture

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in public sector transformation, a proven track record in consulting, and the ambition to play a broader role in a growing team.

Experience and background

• Proven experience in management consulting or a related field
• Experience delivering strategy, operating model or transformation projects
• Strong understanding of public sector structures, governance and operating environments
• Experience with digital transformation, data or business process improvement is advantageous
