Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Statistical Programming Manage to support the delivery of statistical programming activities for studies involving Swedish health data in our RWE BIOS team . This role requires strong technical expertise, hands‑on programming experience, and the ability to work with Swedish Health datasets, documentation, and submissions. The position will contribute to the development of analysis datasets, TLFs, SAP localization, and various project deliverables across observational and PASS studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Statistical Programming (SP) staff, including hiring, training, and supervising department members.
• Develop, recommend, and implement standard procedures, measures of performance, and training programs.
• Organise and allocate resources according to multi-project requirements and deadlines.
• Lead and execute programming activities for complex studies, including creation of statistical tables, and figures (TLFs), and analysis datasets (derived datasets).
• Develop, test, and document high‑quality SAS/R programs in accordance with study requirements and quality standards.
• Integrate data from multiple studies or sources, including Swedish National Registries.
• Create and review programming specifications, dataset specifications, and related documentation.
• Support localised Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) for Swedish data and ensure alignment with local standards and data structures.
• Support preparation of data applications and documentation submitted in Swedish.
• Develop and validate programming macros, tools, and process improvements.
• Serve as programming lead on assigned studies, coordinating deliverables and timelines.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior programming staff.
• Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to meet project milestones and ensure high‑quality outputs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fluency in Swedish (spoken and written) — required for working with Swedish data and documentation is mandatory for this role
• 6+ years of experience in statistical programming within register based research.
• Advanced SAS/R programming skills.
• Strong understanding of Swedish National Health Registries, and statistical analysis concepts.
• Proven ability to handle complex programming deliverables with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Proven Staff management skills, strong leadership, motivational and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with PASS studies or real‑world evidence (RWE) studies.
• Experience with Swedish health registers and national datasets.
• Experience with SAP localization or Swedish regulatory submissions.
• Experience integrating large and complex observational/registry datasets.
