Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB in Smedjebacken is seeking a Manager Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance to lead and develop engineering and maintenance activities across our factory. You will ensure that manufacturing processes, equipment, and technical capabilities meet current and future business needs.

  • Experience in global manufacturing operations or large-scale production management.
  • Strong leadership with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to lead digitalization initiatives and manage information systems.
  • Financial acumen with budgeting and CAPEX management experience.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish (written and spoken).

  • Coordinate and align engineering and maintenance practices across sites to ensure consistent standards.

  • Develop and implement manufacturing engineering strategies to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Champion health and safety standards across maintenance and engineering activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methods.
  • Lead digitalization and automation efforts for maintenance planning and performance tracking.
  • Compile and manage CAPEX related to equipment, maintenance, and development with budget cycles.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of manufacturing engineering strategies to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance product quality.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within maintenance and engineering using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Lead digitalization and automation efforts within manufacturing engineering, including systems for maintenance planning and performance tracking.

Your Background
