Job summary

Telavox seeks a Linux-centric Network Engineer to design, build, and operate our core networking—from data centers to edge PoPs and cloud-native integrations. You’ll work with a DevOps mindset, using open-source software on standard servers and treating infrastructure as code.

You’ll automate configurations, manage hybrid infrastructure with Kubernetes networking at the core, and help secure the backbone with BGP/OSPF, VXLAN/EVPN, and WireGuard/IPsec.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and operating large-scale, production-grade network environments.
• Proficiency with Linux networking.
• Hands-on experience with hypervisor- and container-based workloads.
• Familiarity with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), tunneling (VXLAN, EVPN), and secure networking (WireGuard, IPsec).
• Comfortable with automation and scripting (Ansible, Python, Bash).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Observium, Netbox, Icinga, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset—you enjoy sharing your knowledge and working across team boundaries.
• Strong understanding of network segmentation, zero-trust principles, and security best practices for protecting critical infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and operating core network infrastructure.
• Automating configuration, monitoring, and provisioning.
• Expanding and maintaining international edge PoP sites.
• Managing hybrid infrastructure and private cloud with Kubernetes networking at the core.
• Supporting development of infrastructure APIs for self-service for product teams.
• Ensuring high availability and performance with OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, IPsec.
• Collaborating with product and platform teams to turn complex requirements into practical infrastructure.
