Job summary

Ericsson's Mobile Financial Services unit seeks a Manager for Product Security in Karlskrona to lead a lean security team and embed security across the lifecycle. You will drive strategy and governance across PCI, SOC 2, CRA and ISO, coaching engineers and collaborating with architecture, product management and security teams to elevate security posture for fintech products.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security or technical teams.
• Strong understanding of product security, cybersecurity and risk management.
• Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing and secure SDLC (DevSecOps).
• Knowledge of cloud-native and distributed architectures; awareness of AI security risks.
• Cryptography knowledge; post-quantum cryptography is a plus.
• Ability to translate security risks into engineering decisions and communicate with engineers and senior stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services, fintech or other highly regulated environments.

About This Opportunity

Mobile Financial Services operates in a rapidly evolving security and regulatory landscape. The increased adoption of AI, evolving cyber threats, and expansion toward EU and U.S. markets require us to strengthen our Product Security capabilities.

Join our Team

We are looking for a Manager for Product Security based in Karlskrona who combines strong people leadership with deep understanding of cybersecurity and security engineering. The team you will lead is a lean and mean team, not a large unit at this stage.

You will lead and develop the Product Security team while ensuring that security is systematically embedded into our architecture, product development and software lifecycle. You will work across engineering, architecture and product management to strengthen the security posture of our Mobile Financial Services portfolio.

What You Will Do

• Lead, coach and develop Product Security professionals, building capabilities in security engineering, AI security, vulnerability management, penetration testing and post-quantum security.
• Drive product security strategy with a focus on PCI, SOC 2, CRA and ISO compliance.
• Integrate security throughout the Secure Software Development Lifecycle, including threat modelling, architecture reviews and security risk assessments.
• Strengthen vulnerability management and penetration testing, turning findings into prioritised, measurable engineering actions.
• Establish security controls and governance for AI-enabled development and agentic technologies, and support crypto-agility and post-quantum readiness.
• Translate security and regulatory requirements into practical engineering requirements, with the evidence and traceability needed for new markets.

What You Bring

• Proven experience leading or developing technical or security teams.
• A strong understanding of product security, cybersecurity and security risk management.
• Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing and secure software development, including DevSecOps.
• Understanding of cloud-native and distributed architectures, and awareness of AI security risks.
• Knowledge of cryptography; experience with post-quantum cryptography is an advantage.
• The ability to turn security risks into concrete engineering decisions and to communicate effectively with engineers and senior stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, payments or another highly regulated environment is particularly valuable.
