Job summary

Spiideo is hiring a Legal Counsel in Malmö to support the commercial team on customer contracts and related legal matters. You will design and maintain templates, templates, and negotiation playbooks, and work with product and marketing across international markets.

You will report to the CFO and help establish new routines and processes within a dynamic, growing SaaS company. English proficiency is essential for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Five+ years as an associate at a reputable law firm or in-house counsel at a tech company.
• Strong drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience with SaaS agreements is a plus.
• Ability to implement legal structures and processes across markets.

Responsibilities

Spiideo is a leading sports tech company headquartered in the heart of Malmö. We help spread the joy of sports through cutting-edge, cloud-based sports video technology used for video recording, data analysis and broadcasting. Our customers are clubs, leagues and media companies all over the globe. We are around 200 people in multiple locations. We are now looking to strengthen our team at our Lilla Torg office in Malmö with a highly skilled Legal Counsel.

About the role

In the role of Legal Counsel, you will be supporting the organization with a wide range of legal matters, with a special focus on our customer contracts. You will have the unique opportunity to shape the legal function’s development and be part of establishing new routines and processes. You will primarily support the commercial organization while collaborating closely with colleagues throughout the company, including product development and marketing. As a trusted legal advisor, you will work closely with the management team and key stakeholders across the business.

The role includes the following key responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on customer contracts, including redlining and negotiations with customers across multiple international markets;
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve contract templates and negotiation playbooks to support efficient commercial contracting;
• Develop and maintain a robust structure for our terms and conditions and implement a platform to manage contracts, track versions, and ensure compliance;
• Ensure that all customer contracts are up-to-date and reflect the latest product developments;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide legal advice in relation to the release of new product versions; and
• Support the business on a variety of general legal matters, including questions related to privacy, intellectual property and trademarks when required.

You will report to the CFO and work with colleagues across the globe. Our office is located at Lilla Torg in the city center of Malmö within walking distance of the train station.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a legal professional with at least five years of experience as an associate at a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel at a tech company. You hold a Master of Laws (LL.M.), a Master's degree in Business and Commercial Law, or an equivalent legal degree. You have strong expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Previous experience negotiating SaaS agreements is considered an advantage. You also have a great ability to develop and implement legal structures and processes.

With a collaborative mindset and a high degree of independence, you build strong relationships with stakeholders across different markets and jurisdictions. Experience gained abroad or within a highly international organization is a strong advantage, particularly if it includes experience from the U.S. market. You communicate with ease and credibility in English, both orally and in writing.
