Job description

Are you passionate about quality and automation? Do you want to help development teams build better software- faster?

Tacton is now looking for a Lead QA Engineer for Test Automation who loves structure, frameworks, and smart automation. This role focuses on preventing regressions and accelerating delivery, not through manual testing, but through better practices, smarter tooling, and a strong quality culture.

You’ll combine a developer’s mindset with a quality-first approach, inspire teams by knowledge sharing, refining frameworks, implementing good examples and making sure everyone has the tools, data, and guidance they need to deliver with confidence.

You’ll be part of our R&D team of passionate developers, Dev Leads, and architects who love building great software together. This is a new role and an exciting next step for us, as we take testing and quality to the next level. In this role, you will report to VP Engineering.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and evolve our test automation frameworks, updating the code base, improving structure, and ensuring it’s easy to understand what’s covered (and what’s not).
  • Enable teams to build the right tests at the right level, unit, system, and integration, while ensuring each team remains responsible for their own quality.
  • Define best practices for testing across the organization, including when and how to use specific test types.
  • Champion modern testing practices including AI-assisted testing and data generation.
  • Collaborate closely with Dev Leads to make adding and maintaining automated tests easier for their teams.
  • Measure and communicate quality metrics such as coverage, reliability, and test effectiveness, and help define realistic targets.
Who You Are
  • 7+ years of experience within development, QA and test automation.
  • Technical background (development or technical QA) — strong scripting/coding skills.
  • Proven experience with test frameworks and automation tools, experience with AI testing tools, data generation, or performance testing.
  • Skilled at influencing teams and introducing best practices.
  • Curious to understand our business behind the software, not just the code.
  • Excellent communicator who enjoys working with all colleagues within R&D.
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and SaaS platforms.

Furthermore, it’s important that you’re interested in our product, our CPQ solution, and that you’re eager to develop a deep understanding of the CPQ business domain over time, enabling you to design meaningful end-to-end test scenarios that reflect real customer use cases.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

At Tacton, quality isn’t just a checkbox — it’s a mindset. You’ll join a highly technical product company where testing and automation have a direct impact on speed, reliability, and customer experience. In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how we test and deliver across our global SaaS platform.

We offer:
  • A solid and stable company with over 20 years of industry experience.
  • A flexible hybrid work model (3 days in the Stockholm office).
  • A collaborative and open culture where engineering and quality go hand-in-hand.
  • 33 days of paid time off – 30 vacation days, plus 3 extra days.
  • Generous wellness allowance – to support your health and wellbeing.
  • Private healthcare insurance – Get quick access to private medical care.
  • Weekly treats – Fika and breakfasts, because good food brings people together.
Ready to shape how we build and test at Tacton?

Apply today and help us take quality automation to the next level. Please apply no later than 10th of December.
