We’re looking for a Lead ML Engineer who wants to help build that practice with us, not just deliver projects within it.

What this role actually is.

You’ll be our Lead ML engineer, and you’ll be one of the people shaping what we offer, how we sell it, and how we develop the next layer of ML talent at Curamando. That’s not a footnote. It’s a big part of the job.

Our work is applied and embedded. We don’t ship models over a wall. We sit inside our clients teams and help drive the transformation with them. You will work alongside our change consultants who lead the transformation while you build the AI & ML that puts the strategy into motion.

What you’ll do.

• Lead the engineering work. Design, build, and ship ML solutions for our clients, from first scoping conversations through production. Pick the right tool for the job, not the most exciting one.

• Build the offering. You'll play a crucial part in shaping what Curamando's AI and ML offerings look like, methodology and points of view. The pace of change is relentless, so we need someone curious by nature, who reads, experiments, and tells signal from hype to keep the offering sharp.

• Mentor the team. You’ll be the most senior ML voice in the room. Coach more junior engineers and analysts on solution architecture, code quality, and structured thinking. That work matters as much as the code you write.

• Collaborate across Eidra. This isn’t a Curamando-only role. You’ll work closely with other parts of Eidra enabling their offering with AI and ML. We genuinely believe in cross‑collaboration, and the relationships you build and the work you share across the collective are core to how we grow this practice.

• Sit close to the business. Join sales conversations with our commercial team, and help translate client needs into real engagements. Push back when something doesn’t make sense.

Who we think will love this role.

You have a strong core in traditional ML, supervised learning, feature engineering, model evaluation and MLOps. You’ve also worked with LLMs, agents, and RAG enough to know where they shine and where they don’t.

Pragmatism is your default mode. You’ve shipped models in environments that weren’t perfect, with data that wasn’t clean, on timelines that weren’t generous, and you got something useful into production anyway.

Applied AI in growth, marketing, sales, commerce, and operations is genuinely interesting to you. The mission here is to make AI useful inside real organizations, not to always advance the state of the art AI.

What we’d expect you to bring.

• Hands‑on experience across the ML lifecycle in Python and the usual stack: PyTorch, scikit‑learn, pandas, SQL, PySpark.

• Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP; Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.

• Comfort with modern GenAI and agent patterns (RAG, tool‑using agents), even if your core is traditional ML.

• A track record of mentoring more junior engineers or data professionals.

• Enough business sense to hold your own in a client conversation.

Nice to have.

• Experience in consulting, agency, or another client‑facing setting.

• A point of view on AI ethics, governance, or the EU AI Act in practice.

• Some product or front‑end instincts: enough to ship a working demo when the moment calls for it.

• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster.
