Job summary

Blykalla AB is seeking a senior expert to lead the fuel qualification program for a novel lead‑cooled SMR. You will shape models and data strategies, validate against multiple fuel types, and work with international labs to reach qualification milestones.

We value a PhD and 15+ years of nuclear fuel experience, with hands‑on modelling and code development. English fluency is required; Swedish is a plus. Travel within Europe and beyond is expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years post‑degree experience in nuclear fuel modelling, development and/or qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, extension, and benchmarking of fuel performance models for a lead‑cooled fast spectrum operation.
• Coordinate experimental data collection and analyses to support model validation and development.
• Align modelling with fuel qualification, licensing, and industrialisation goals to ensure regulatory readiness.
• Mentor and develop the next generation of technical specialists across related disciplines.
