Job summary

AFRY Automotive in Sweden seeks a Lead Engineer to drive technical development for next-generation commercial vehicles. Based in the Stockholm region (Stockholm or Södertälje), you will coordinate activities across the product lifecycle and work with leading customers in automotive and defense sectors.

You will mentor junior engineers, translate complex challenges into actionable plans, and collaborate with designers, PMs, and specialists to ensure high-quality deliveries.

Qualifications

• Several years of product development experience in manufacturing industry.
• 4–5 years of experience from the automotive sector.
• Relevant university or engineering degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, product development or similar).
• Very good Swedish and English (spoken and written).
• Swedish citizenship.

Responsibilities

AFRY Automotive seeks a Lead Engineer to contribute to next generation commercial vehicles. You will join a team in the Stockholm region (Stockholm or Sodertalje) with opportunities to work with leading customers in the automotive and defense industries.

Job description

The automotive sector is undergoing rapid transformation through electrification, digitalization and autonomous technologies. As Lead Engineer you will lead and coordinate technical development activities through the product development process and act as a key technical and coaching leader in projects.

Responsibilities include:
