Job summary
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Design Lead based in Sweden (Ludvika or Västerås) to own the delivery of auxiliary power systems for HVDC projects. You will guide a team of Designers across SLD creation, load calculations, equipment dimensioning, and FATs, coordinating with customers and global colleagues.
The role blends leadership with technical depth in a complex, customized domain. We offer a path to grow across roles and geographies within Hitachi Energy, including mentorship during onboarding
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Experience with auxiliary power, selectivity studies or leading installation/commissioning of LV equipment.
- 2+ years of technical leadership, planning and delegation experience.
- Strong English communication skills; willingness to contribute to team efforts.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for technical aspects, budget, and timeline of the auxiliary power in HVDC projects.
- Lead and coordinate Designers, including SLD creation, load calculations, equipment dimensioning and FATs.
- Lead customer meetings and interact with internal/external stakeholders.
- Coordinate team tasks and relationships with other departments and suppliers.
