Job summary

Scandinavian Airlines System SAS seeks a Lead Data Steward to establish and scale data governance across the organization. You will define quality standards, manage metadata and lineage, and partner with Legal, Security, and IT to ensure compliant data practices.

Based at Frösundavik, Solna, with onsite work and some remote flexibility. You will lead a governance network across units, align data products with business needs, and translate complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in information management, computer science, data management, or related field.
• 5+ years in data governance or data management.
• Hands-on experience with data catalogue tools and data quality platforms.
• Strong understanding of data management frameworks.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the SAS data governance framework: policies, standards, processes, and ownership model.
• Build and maintain the enterprise data catalogue with metadata, definitions, and lineage.
• Establish and monitor data quality standards across key domains.
• Lead the data stewardship network across business units.
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, and IT to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive data classification and access management in partnership with IT Security.
