Job summary

Playground is looking for an experienced data platform engineer in the Stockholm area. You will design and build modern data platforms, lead architecture decisions, and own platforms in production, guiding data through analytics, AI and ML workloads at scale.

You will act as the technical go-to in client relationships, translate fuzzy needs into solid designs, mentor colleagues, and contribute to internal data engineering frameworks, all while collaborating within a consultative environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building data platforms and leading data engineering work.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for data processing and modeling.
• Strong cloud architecture experience across AWS/Azure/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design and build modern data platforms from scratch and lead architecture decisions.
• Ingest, model and structure data for analytics, AI and ML workloads at scale.
• Own platforms in production and drive evolution and improvements over time.
• Serve as technical go-to in client relationships and translate needs into buildable solutions.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to internal data engineering frameworks.
