Join Essity's Professional Hygiene laboratory in vibrant Gothenburg, Sweden, the home of the globally recognized Tork product range! We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Engineer to become a central player in their innovation pipeline, focused primarily on the mechanics and performance of their dispensing systems.

This critical role places you at the heart of product development, where you will be responsible for planning and executing complex product testing—from tissue materials to full system mechanics. You will collaborate closely with product developers and innovation teams, using your expertise to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards before they reach the market. This is a consulting assignment of 6 months duration within Randstad Life Sciences which is specializing in competences within Life Science. Responsibilities

As a laboratory engineer you will represent Essity laboratories in many perspectives, be responsible for product testing, be part of innovation projects as well as supporting their business units. This involves testing on tissue products as material and system including dispenser’s mechanics and the full product system. You will plan, propose and perform evaluation and laboratory testing on products in the Tork Portfolio. You will be part of a team of many laboratory engineers with different experiences and backgrounds where you will contribute with your knowledge and expertise in the area. You will also be part of project teams with product developers, innovation teams together developing product innovations and improvements for the market.

What you will do
  • Plan, propose and perform evaluation and laboratory testing on our products
  • Present, document and report test results
  • Perform analyses and statistical evaluations as base for your conclusions
  • Maintain knowledge about test methods
  • If needed develop, evaluate, and validate new laboratory methods to meet consumer and business needs
  • Develop and maintain equipment and tools for testing
Qualifications
  • Technical degree BSc in for ex Textile, Mechanical, chemical engineering
  • Experience from laboratory work or product testing in a global setting is an advantage
  • Preferably experience from working with statistical analysis and analytical programs
  • Good communication and presentation skills in written reports as well as in discussions
  • Written and verbal fluency in English
