Job summary

ALTEN Gothenburg is looking for a Junior Test Engineer to join a team that develops and maintains test cells for hybrid engines and transmissions. You will install engines, connect test equipment, run tests, ensure data quality, and troubleshoot testbeds to maintain high uptime for 24/7 measurement data production.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, benefit from ALTEN Academy, and participate in a supportive internal community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or technical college diploma, combined with relevant work experience in similar tasks.
• Experience in mechanical work or testing is highly beneficial, with understanding of automotive test cell systems (AVL PUMA, ETAS INCA).
• Fluent in English and Swedish (written and spoken).
• Open to commute or relocate to Gothenburg; forklift and driver’s licenses are required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and conducting tests in test cells, including setting up test objects and associated equipment.
• Identifying and troubleshooting issues with test cells or objects, and maintaining daily records of time and activities.
• Providing technical support to the team when required, creating guides and documentation, and ensuring continuous knowledge development in your area.
