Job summary

Hedvig is seeking a Junior Analytics & ML Engineer to help shape our core data model and ML platform. You will work with backend engineers, data scientists, and business teams to build scalable data pipelines and deploy machine learning solutions in production.

You will contribute to automated decision-making and pricing through agentic AI, while exploring modern AI stacks and data architectures. This role offers growth in a fast-paced insurtech environment in Stockholm.

Qualifications

Master’s in CS, Data Eng, Engineering Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
0–2 years with modern data stack (BigQuery, dbt, Looker) or ML infra deployment.
Fluent in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
Proficient in Python and DS libraries; scalable ML architecture knowledge.
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) and MLOps practices.
Interest in AI stack (LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering).
Collaborative, evangelist for data engineering and MLOps.

Responsibilities

Architect and scale core data model; automate data pipelines.
Design and build ML/AI infrastructure for deployment, MLOps, and monitoring.
Drive data projects end-to-end from definition to deployed solutions.
Design and deploy ML models contributing to automated decision-making.
Champion work to stakeholders and stay updated on AI, data stacks, and insurtech trends.
