Job summary

FDJ UNITED in Sweden is seeking a skilled Java backend engineer to strengthen our Payment team, shaping the customer experience across all brands.

You will design, build and test services with Java and Spring, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across squads to deliver reliable, scalable payment solutions. Experience with React is a plus; familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is expected; join a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in building services in Java and Spring framework.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and build pipelines.
• Basic understanding of React JS, Javascript and/or Typescript. Having worked with micro-frontends is a plus.
• Familiarity with development and delivery tools such as Git, Gradle, Maven and RPM.
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application development and deployment.
• Experience working in agile environments.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Ability to identify bugs, edge cases, and potential security, reliability or performance issues.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and validating their output.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design discussions with colleagues to find great solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Take part in the full system / development life cycle to ensure reliability and uptime of production environments.
